Amanda Markland-Domingo is a passionate dance educator and accomplished performer with a lifelong dedication to the art of dance. A graduate of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, where she majored in dance, Amanda continued her education at Florida Community College at Jacksonville. Her early training was shaped by local mentors including Bambi Philips, Marta Jackson, Linda Elchak, and Kristi Rice, and she further enriched her experience through workshops with renowned instructors such as Frank Hatchett, Finis Jhung, and Dorothy Lister.
During high school, Amanda was nominated by the National Arts Foundation for Who’s Who Among American High School Students—a testament to her early talent and commitment. She performed in both the Community Nutcrackerand First Coast Nutcracker, dancing featured roles including Party Girl, Spanish, Flower, Snow, and Lead Doll.
Amanda’s competitive drive and technical excellence earned her two ballet scholarships to the prestigious Joffrey School of Ballet in New York City. Her time in NYC helped shape her individual teaching style and deepen her understanding of the dance industry. She is a certified instructor through Dance Masters of America, Chapter 2, and has received multiple accolades, including various Grand Champion awards and the Dance Troupe Youth Ambassador Award. Amanda also expanded her repertoire into competitive ballroom dance, proving her versatility as a dancer.
Her performance career also includes two exciting seasons with “The Roar” of the Jacksonville Jaguars, where she made numerous public appearances and gave back to the community through volunteer work. Amanda served as a mentor to young girls involved with the Jr. Roar program and was selected as the July calendar model during her second season. One of her standout opportunities was traveling to California as a celebrity cheerleader, where she performed for the San Bernardino Stampede baseball team and alongside the iconic Laker Girls of Los Angeles. These experiences gave her valuable national exposure and strengthened the self-confidence she now instills in her students.
Amanda’s teaching goes beyond choreography. Her goal is to build self-esteem and confidence in every student she teaches. She provides a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment, helping young dancers reach their full potential—not only as performers but as strong, empowered individuals.
